I liken this to college sports. What brings in the most money on the campus should get the most scholarship opportunities. For most major schools that is football by the sheer attendance and tv numbers and ratings. For others it may be basketball...mens or womens...smaller schools it may be volleyball or womens softball. It depends but where the money is, is where you get paid. Just because you are a female athlete doesn't mean you get equal pay for kicking the ball around. Womens pro soccer just doesn't bring in the same revenue mens soccer does. When it does you can get more pay and enjoy the spoils of your labor...when you produce more you get more it is that simple to me.
Secret can do what they want with their money. They are a independent company and $500k to them is in the fan noise. That doesn't bother me...What bothers me is the fact that they are complaining about a gender pay gap. Want equal pay across genders....join the dang military and then guess what and E-4 basic pay is an E-4 basic pay across all services and genders.

Exactly right Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth That was one of the reasons I joined. A 2Lt pay was 2Lt pay regardless of gender or race or anything else.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I think you missed my point or I didn't explain it well. My point was that their sport doesn't generate reveneue to pay higher salaries. When it does they can get paid the same...until then there will be a gap. There just isn't that much interest in womens soccer so the money stream just isn't there.

There is no pay gap. Their league following is small, their games bring in less revenue. So less pay.
