It's time for all responsible gun owners who want to stay gun owners to figure out a way to deal with this gun violence. What this guy did was the exact opposite of that.
When enough people get afraid they are going to make a case for a compelling state interest and curtail our rights around gun ownership. If we don't find a way to stop gun violence, it's going to happen. If things like what this idiot did continue to occur, it's going to happen sooner.
We don't just need gun ownership, we need responsible gun ownership.

I don't trust anything I read or hear on NPR any more than any other MSM, but we still have to protect the image we portray to the public. He should have thought that out better before he tried to pull off that stunt. I carry a weapon a LOT of places, including Walmart, but it's never visible.

I think a trip behind the Police Station to the woodshed for a serious ass-whoopin is the perfect sentence; that and losing his right to own a weapon of any kind.
