People stealing money from Disabled Veterans is completely unamerican. These people need to be prosecuted and ordered to pay restitution.

Thank you once against your continual posts like this.
As I am helping an elderly Veteran and his spouse apply for benifits, it was brought to my attention that on the Caregiver application (I'm sure that is not the proper name of the VA form) there is a section that asks if the Veteran can manage their own finances, and to be careful how it is answered. Now I know why.
In this case the Veteran can manage his finances so it's not an issue, but this post is a great info point for those who may have to fill out the "Caregiver application" in future and the ramifications of the answers. This reenforces why I always direct a Veteran to a certified VSO from one of the service associations to help fill out forms and give direction and advice throughout the entire application process.
