It remains to be seen whether the subpoena will be upheld. I don't expect them to find much if they do get them. I expect what they will find will be embarrassing to the President in that he has paid close to nothing in taxes on his income. Because of the losses he took in real estate like the rest of the country, he is legally allowed to offset his income with those losses and minimize his taxes. Bear in mind that Trump has lawyers and accountants at his fingertips to prepare his taxes. All he did was sign off on them

It doesn’t matter if someone one else did the work to prepare it, he would be responsible for it

I would be more impressed if he got an actual search warrant instead of a subpoena for the records.

That's not the standard procedure for seeking documents from a third party, only from the principle, and it's not required.
