Agreed with every word...that halftime show did nothing but objectify women...it had nothing to do with female empowerment. My daughter texted me when it was over and asked if the next show was going to be at the strip club. How can we empower our daughters and stop the objectifying of their bodies when these types of things are portrayed on open tv? I have a wife and a daughter and we have always told our daughter to strive to be your best but not by being a female...be your best because that is who you are and good things will happen for you...guess what they have. Without her having to show and shake her @$$ to get ahead. They oughtta be ashamed for allowing this on a national public stage...IMHO it set women back a little bit because all folks saw was Shakira shaking her tongue and junk along with J'lo. Now girls think they have to be like that to be successful.

Had to chuckle a bit at your daughters comment. Since the next super bowl is in Tampa and Tampa is known for its er, strip clubs she could have a prophecy there. The unfortunate thing is that the halftime show is pretty much what passes for musical entertainment these days. A couple years ago I was totally shocked when my granddaughters showed me some app that teaches them to dance like that and will modify any song to allow them to dance and record the action. Of course their parents reaction when I said something is that all girls love the app and it keeps them entertained, so you're correct girls are being taught this is right.
