To Democrats, being disarmed and a victim is the "moral high-ground".

I agree and that is a good article. However, it didn't mention one of the worst aspects to all of this. That would be the media.
Whether it is the news, tv, movies, radio, etc. Almost all of it distorts the truth to push the liberal agenda. There are exceptions and those in the media that confront the truth head on are almost always labeled racist, sexist, blah blah blah.
The majority of firearm deaths are suicides, but that doesn't stop the media and politicians from throwing out the numbers as a scare tactic. Once you get past the suicides most firearm deaths are handguns that weren't purchased legally, but again the media and politicians attacks the NRA and legal gun owners.
I saw a clip of Whoopi Goldberg on the view saying that the reason no one hunts with an AR-15 is because there would be nothing left of the deer. Her statement drew a huge round of applause from the studio audience and was replayed on CNN and other news outlets. It's actually difficult to make a more ignorant claim. First, the AR-15 is the most popular hunting rifle in the United States for a couple of decades. Second, the reason it's not used more often to hunt is because it's on the small side for hunting deer or larger animals.
Yet ignorant masses believe it without a second thought. I think our country is doomed. Once they get the legal guns away from law abiding citizens they are free to implement their socialistic authoritarian plans without much resistance.
