I felt much futility in following the protests, riots, police, and police brutality. There have been many conflicting reports, reports with an agendas, and outright lies. I don't have the requisite knowledge to make an informed opinion. Once again I am suspicious of some of the information that the administration have espoused. The official administration narrative is the protesters near the church were violent. WE BELIEVE THEY WERE PASSING OUT ROCKS AND BELIEVE BARR WAS HIT WITH A WATER BOTTLE. Either it happened or did not. What is more damning is all the sources point to a peaceful protest except for the administration.

Objectivity and truth suffers due to Trump and his administration. Fox News is often purveyors of the governments lies, and some people believe that crap. I have a son who thinks COVID-19 is a hoax. In light of this environment, objectivity and truth will suffer. When events are not in Trump's favor, his MO is to promulgate lies. Case in point is Trump stating the old man that was pushed to the ground was part of a conspiracy. I suspect his lies will be inversely proportional to his popularity in polls.
