She is singing the same tune I have been singing since my early teens. There is 1 and only 1 race. I differ with her in one way. It has been my belief and so far see no reason to change it, that this began with the creation of the "other" by the leaders of groups to obtain and maintain their leadership position within their group. One of the byproducts of demonizing the "other" is the sense of superiority that the group members get and don't want to give up. That attitude firms up the leader's control of his piece of the world and could help him expand it. To me it is about power and the unwillingness to share it let alone give it up.

Jesus, this is spot on. Truly brilliant. No one divides us as effectively as we divide ourselves.

I would need to find a way to get the original source material and copy it to another host (or host it here). But only if I had (or, could access) the source material.
