This is a real problem. But like PVT James Strait says in the comment below, "can't fix stupid" Even through my own family we are divided. I CHOOSE to wear one, not because I am afraid but because I BELIEVE, in safety and common sense.
I was asked once, "why do you wear deodorant?" so people won't smell me, I said.
Good reason to wear a mask too.

They may get lucky and no one in the room was sick. But they also could have gotten their neighbors sick due to their stupidity. I.e. blue falcons.
