Just some thoughts:
- The president of the PI is stupid. He said some stupid shit like I am Chinese therefore we have close relations.
- When the Chinese took control over disputed islands, the PI rolled over like a dog.
- The PI Defense Minister has taken a stand. He wants strong ties with the US military.
- If the PI wants US military protection, it should give us access to bases.
- Canadian and American corporations will take over port operations at Subic
Bay which is a great deep water port. This might open the door for US Navy ships for supplies and maintenance.
