It's a "first" whenever anyone does something. I was the "first" white male wearing glasses with size 8-1/2 shoes from Indiana to become Department Head on a high endurance cutter. Why is being "black" more important than my physical traits?

I don’t disagree on the need to be the best or at least the most qualified at a job, however your inability to recognize the inequity in this country among women and people of color is clearly a reflection of your ignorant white privilege. You can choose to educate yourself on equity or you can remain as you are.
