Thank you my friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs for making us aware that our friend and brother-in-Christ SGT Steve McFarland will be hosting the "Healing Through Faith" addition of Warriors for Life (WFL) Virtual Group Support Community Services.
"The Birth of Jesus...The Word Became Flesh"

Both Joseph who are descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob faced dilemmas recorded in scripture.
1. Joseph the step-father of Jesus had a dilemma. He desired to quietly divorce his betrothed Mary because he loved her and he was an obedient Hebrew. As he wrestled with his decision, an angel appeared to him in a dream 'But after he had pondered these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to embrace Mary as your wife, for the One conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew:1 20-21 ESV]

2. Joseph the son of Jacob/Israel had a number of dilemma's recorded in Scripture. The incident with Potiphar's wife and his response; his testimony to Pharaoh about his faith in God; his stern treatment of the brothers who sold him into slavery and yet he forgave them after they had brought his youngest and full brother Benjamin and their father to Egypt and his weeping when he saw his youngest brother and father; he revealed who he was to his terrified family and then he forgave them. After Jacob/Israel died, the brothers were terrified again fearing Joseph would take vengeance on them. "But Joseph replied, “Do not be afraid. Am I in the place of God? As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this—to preserve the lives of many people. Therefore do not be afraid. I will provide for you and your little ones.” So Joseph reassured his brothers and spoke kindly to them.' [Genesis 50:19-21 ESV]

I’m thinking about His name: “Yah-Suh” in the manner in which it was pronounced in Aramaic, as I understand it: “YAH” meaning “God”, “SUH!” meaning “SON!”. Or
“GOD’S SON!”. Can’t be any more explicit than that!

1LT Voyle Smith - It seems to me that she had low standards Voyle, trying to steal another woman's husband. In fact, the husband seem to be also an idiot for cheating on his wife. I did not leave a girl friend behind because I knew where I was going, I did not know if I would make it back. Some of my buddies did get dear john letters and they were really hurt. It was bad enough being at war but getting a dear John was not good, it created signs of depression, anxiety and performing actions on the battle field. These are the realities of tragedies when in a war zone. I'm glad that before I left to the Nam, I did not make any commitments, going to war was the only thing on my mind and I did not want or needed any surprises.

PO2 Cyrus Barberia - There are many stories like yours Cyrus, but it makes me sad that deployed soldiers/military have to go through this. I think that military leaders should learned from these experiences and give deploying military a special briefing of what may happen while deployed. The possibilities are not only dear John letters, but the passing of parents, siblings or close family members. I also saw this happen in the Nam War, it's better to know what may happen while deployed than be surprised by some bad news. Being prepared for battle or bad news from home, seem to be practical. I know that when we went on a combat mission, I was always focused on the mission, basically thinking what the hell we would run into and surviving it!! Coming off a mission, I would pray I would not get any bad news from home. Always being prepared for the unknown, I got this type of news when my dad died in a traffic accident 45 years ago!!
