I know two people who had shot .470Nitro Express rifles (the classic elephant gun), both of whom described the experience as a little worse than shooting a heavy turkey load from a 12 gauge. (And they had not compared notes, didn't even know each other.)

Putting even a relatively light 12 gauge round in a pistol seems extreme. But, perhaps it is just the thing for those with more dollars than sense.

Yeah. I notice the guy kept laughing throughout and made a point to say that they would be giving away their test model!

Your trigger finger would take a beating. Gloves make sense even if the gun configuration doesn't, lol.
