They were never taught how to deconstruct a sentence with punctuation. We the People are the militia and the founders wanted all able bodied people to maintain their personal weapons to prevent tyranny.

They bastardize the 2A in school so people don't know what it means. They don't know who the militia is because schools teach them "it's the National Guard". They're being lied to and no one is stopping it. By the time they're out in the world they've been so professionally indoctrinated you can't change their minds. They're right and if you challenge them you are now attacking them and they shut down.

It’s the job of parents to teach their kids. Anyone who relies on school to teach their kids anything beyond the basics is failing.
