I do long range shooting but I still won't shoot game out beyond 500-600 yards. Not a question of if I can make the shot or not but I don't think it's an ethical shot with the firearms I use. Ballistically speaking, even though there is a decent amount of energy at longer ranges, I won't say it's enough to do the job if I misplace the shot a little.

Training to hit a target requires a lot of training and practice. There can be quite a few micro climes between you and your long range target that will impact the flight of your round.
