CCW Weekend: Gun Lore Explored – Can You Use Motor Oil As Gun Lubricant?

If You decide this is good for You, I like the idea after reading it, I would strongly suggest that You NOT use oil with Detergent additives. "Detergent" in motor oil is designed to suspend contaminates until they are removed by the Magnets in the filter and lift tube in the pan. You don't want that fleck of whatever suspended between the BCG and the Chamber.
