Rick was I was never an olympic shooter, however, I carried as part of my job. I agree with your article very good. Things I did on a personal note drawing and pointing while incorporating breathing techniques. Most of the time my weapons were not open carry so that adds a twist. but same process just drawing from a different area. Holding it, unloaded of course but just putting in my hands as much as possible, clear it first. Eyes closed open, dark light etc... It will not take long and you will know your weapon very well, you will know if it is loaded or unloaded. Point drills, I practiced with both eyes open.

This is what I do and use. Unfortunate there’s such a shortage of 22 ammo, I was lucky and was able to buy 5000 rounds before the crunch hit
