I don't remember having been required to take mandatory training prior to exercising any of my other equally important Constitutionally protected rights. I'm all for not having people do stupid things with guns just like I'm all for not having say, CNN reporters doing stupid things with words.

If You're going to stand for the 2A, You have to stand for the rest of the law also. I posted on the Militia Act earlier.

AOC doesn’t think the Supreme Court should be able to nullify laws. Maybe a basic civics class on separation of powers and a mandatory civics test should be required to hold political office.

Responsible firearms stores should offer to provide basic training to everyone that they sell one (or more) to. Even myself, as a military and police veteran should have access to training for an unfamiliar weapon.
