How ‘Security Risks’ Can Penetrate Congress?

There is a real problem when people that serve in politics can have complete clearance to view and here Classified information the rest of us need security clearance for Congress or not they should still have to have a bona fide Security Clearance for that sort of access and prior to serving on any committee that has that access. Also with the clearance releasing that information to other that don't have that clearance or even need for the information IS a criminal offense and they should be prosecuted on the same basis any other violator would be.

Classification, to a large measure, is a bag of worms.
1st we need to drastically alter the ease with which the information can be classified (unless there is obvious objective need). Embarrassment of an agency or politician doesn't cut it.
The only place I see possible for fair review, if necessary, is the federal judiciary... out of reach of the executive and legislative branches.
In terms of individual Congress person's or folks in the executive branch and it's departments, agencies and bureaus a caveat needs to be carved out to provide for rapid and severe prosecution for unauthorized disclosure. I will never forget when Democratic Congress women Debbie Wasserman Schultz had IT guys who were stealing computers from Congress and May have compromised sensitive data. The ding dong kept paying them AFTER they were caught. They were Pakistani and May have sold sensitive data to Russia or Pakistan.

First off, who in their right mind thinks that it's okay to allow 'intelligence' into the hands of elected officials who could never qualify for a clearance in the first place?
Second, why are there zero consequences for said elected officials who violate laws relating to security risks or breaches? There is a two tier justice system in the US.
