I know this will be unpopular but enacting s new law (hate crimes) against an action that is already against the law is sort of like saying we will have to execute someone twice because the murder they committed furled by hate, or maybe giving someone 2 life sentences instead of one. No I know some legal beagle will day a person could get out of jail with a life sentence. I could only submit that is just plain wrong. MHO

I don't disagree. A crime is a crime, is a crime, is a crime. I do think hate can be an aggravating consideration in sentencing

Shouldn't a hate crime against anyone be illegal?
Thus the word 'crime' which used to be what the term "Justice is blind" stood for.
