The defense lawyers are expecting to argue that like Grants actions toward Lee the Court should follow that example. So that means the defense is accepting the stance that this action on Jan. 6 was an attempted overthrow of the government. If I was the judge I would nail him to the wall with the longest possible sentence with no chance of parole.

So trespassing is now a felony?? No... nothing was stopped... the fake votes were STILL counted... and it's a Constitutional right by the President and Congress to NOT authenticate a vote... there's procedure and everything for it. What they did was utterly stupid, but not felonious. That's just stupid.

SGT Nickolas Ortiz The crime was not trespassing, it was obstructing congressional proceedings. That is a serious crime, particularly when dealing with people who try stop the peaceful transition of power.

Any veterans who entered the Congress that day as part of that mob are a disgrace to their uniform and I hope every one of them rot in jail for betraying everything we swore to defend.
