Russia’s ‘walking arm’ robot docks with International Space Station

Russia's long-delayed lab module successfully docked with the International Space Station on Thursday, eight days after it was launched from the Russian space launch facility in Baikonur, Kazakhstan.
The 20-metric-ton (22-ton) Nauka module, also called the Multipurpose Laboratory Module, docked with the orbiting outpost in an automatic mode after a long journey and a series of manoeuvres. Russia's space agency, Roscosmos, confirmed the module's contact with the International Space Station at 13:29 GMT.
It carried with it the European Robotic Arm (ERA) payload, which can handle components up to 8000 kilograms and transport astronauts.

Honey I told you the Satellit-house would look great when they sent up the next two bedrooms and the mud room from Baikonur for your washer and dryer. I hope the solar panel color matches what we have on board now or I'll never hear the end of that discussion. The Robot Walking Arm docked just perfectly and slid the washer and dryer into the perfect spot next to the Craft-waste disposal system. Hey maybe we can teach the robot arm to walk Astro for us too? What do you think?

Good to see the Russians are as set on wasting money as we are. I am sure there are Russian people who would gladly waste the cost on indoor plumbing
