Ya gotta love [my sarcasm] the headline Newsweek chose for this tragic article:
“Plymouth Shooter Jake Davison's Social Media Shows Love for Trump and Guns”
Obviously a very troubled young man – call him what you will; a Whacko, Nut-Job, Lost-Soul. Regardless of how you choose to refer to him or his innocent victims we are left with the reality of the incident.
The Newsweek item also points out that the suspect’s social-media indicated he had a fondness for a M1 Garand Competition. I hear General George S. Patton liked the M1 too. What was the point Newsweek was trying to infer? [stupid question].
My point is this is a behavior-problem (people-problem); not a weapon problem (Guns). Things don’t cause these tragedies, troubled people do. Deal with the troubled people. Leave the rest of us (and our freedoms) alone.
How I yearn for that yesteryear of “News” instead of Newsweek’s Edward Bernays’ “Propaganda” inspired article that seasons a fact or two with an irrelevant Donald Trump quote/meme, and trying to associate American flags and the eagle to the tragedy. I also heard that General Patton was rather fond of American flags and the eagle.
