Republican representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado is facing a massive backlash online for her insensitive joke about Afghans who fell off a US military plane on Monday in their desperation to get out of the strife-torn country.
In a tweet, accompanying the video of hundreds of Afghan men swarming a US military plane as it taxied on the runway, Ms Boebert said: “At least they won’t have to read mean tweets.”
Reports said that several men fell to their deaths after the plane took off.
She also appeared to root for the Taliban that took control of Afghanistan two days ago by saying that the militant group was “building back better.”

She said something stupid so what? This whole shit show is just like how we left Nam. We've wasted 20 years, over a trillion dollars on our deficit, and lost over 2,000 American life's. We're back to square one all over again and people are getting fucking upset over what a congress woman says? Christ Trump, Cuomo, Newsom, Now her. She's in a state where her political enemies are a minority. Even if she is booted after a 2 year term another republican will replace her. Why on God's green earth are people so thin skinned these days? If this administration and the last actually had throughly planned out exit plans this wouldn't have happened like it did. The afghan people didn't want to build their own military and democracy they wanted to governor with an American police state force their to protect them. Thanks for sharing Chip as always, but people gotta stop being so weak minded. Being empathic is one thing but we knew the day we were going to leave this would happen. But hey a right wing congressional representative says a bad or inhumane joke let's all go cry wahhhhh. No wonder the Chinese are laughing at us. Tawian better not expect American defense or this will happen when the PLA invades.
