I had seen this link on a individuals feed that posts to RP and felt in very necessary to share it on my feed too, anyone who thinks that the Talban are reformed bad guys is gravely mistaken.

But that's just the point, people are still reading this crap and buying into it. Uniformed people that have no clue of who the Taliban are or what they stand for. People on Facebook are asking why is this such a big deal. Alas my OP saying that anyone who thinks the Taliban are a bunch or reformed bad guys is mistaken. Please don't take my words out of context, I am sure you would agree. The Taliban are very very much bad guys, yet for some reason the spokes person for the Taliban isn't banned form places like twitter, but Trump is....makes you have to wonder what is really going on here.

Always wary of unarmed sources, but the story fits their historical pattern. As a matter of fact, it fits the pattern of worldwide persecution of people professing belief in Christ. Unbelievably, even here in a country protected under the 1st Amendment.

No criticism intended. It is almost impossible these days to share any article not larded with unnamed sources - from either political persuasion. Even my favorite commentators occasionally crack the main stops on a cold boiler. That just means we, the great unwashed, have to cast a critical eye on everything. Keep the faith!

MAJ (Join to see) again words have usages. If there is even one instance of a good person using religion to do something that isn't in the best inferest of another's well being, then the quote stands. Unless you think everyone is inherently bad which requires evidence. I dont think it would take a person with even just a rudimentary understanding of history to think of a single instance that fits the quote. I know it may make some folks uncomfortable but some things need to be said.

MAJ (Join to see) the quote isn't wrong though. Besides, it doesn't say that only religion causes good people to do bad things. It is referenced in the first part of the quote.
