Lawful orders are lawful orders...there was nothing immoral, unethical, or illegal about this order. Some of the younger enlisted think they have rights...to some degree yes but overall no. I heard one last week state that if they were forced to get the vaccine thy would just quit and go home...I informed her real quick that was not an option...your only options are get the shot or get courts martialed...then you can go home after a less than honorable discharge for not obeying a lawful order...they challenged me and called the ADC and they advised them the exact same...they think they can just quit...this ain't McDonalds.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - SMSgt Lawrence McCarter Not saying all Security troops were the bad-ass I was, but if they complained about a vaccine hurting I wouldn't want them on my fire team.

SrA John Monette - If you can't stand still long enough for a shot then probably don't need o be calling yourself a Marine...their bodies are put through way more than that during Boot Camp and are taught to obey ALL orders without question...that is what I love about Marines.

MSG (Join to see) She knew what was coming & made a "personal choice" that resulted in a "General Discharge Under Honorable Conditions". Not the best... but certainly not the worse outcome either. Makes me wonder if she was looking for an excuse to get out.

Orders are orders, whether you like them or not.

Seems like there was a trial in 1946 where some folks claimed only to have been following orders and were duty bound to follow them regardless.

1SG Russell S. Comparing wearing a mask to the Nuremberg trials is definitely worthy of a downvote. Congrats - you win “Stupid of the Day”.

1SG Russell S. - Lawful orders for the safety and to keep good order and discipline are legal...those in 1946 were immoral, unethical, and illegal...that's the difference.
