An ambulance carrying a patient in critical condition in Vancouver was delayed as demonstrators protesting Covid-19 regulations and vaccines blocked its path to the hospital.
Protesters deployed the same “lock her up” chant used by Trump supporters against 2016 Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton but instead directed their ire at British Columbia Provincial Health Officer Dr Bonnie Henry.
A paramedic told CBC News that her team had picked up a patient with an arterial bleed after an industrial accident at a construction site at Vancouver’s waterfront on 1 September. The drive from the site to the hospital usually takes eight minutes, but this time it lasted more than double that time.

..."British Columbia Ambulance Service told the outlet that they received several reports of delays caused by the congestion surrounding the protesters.
“I watched someone start to bleed to death when they didn’t have to, when time would have made all the difference in the world,” the anonymous paramedic told CBC. “That was my last straw,” the paramedic, who’s thinking about leaving the job after 33 years, said.
The protests against the public health measures have continued since the start of the month, especially after Dr Henry issued an order on 13 September to require proof of vaccination to gain access to many businesses and events.
The paramedic, who stayed anonymous out of fear that her frank comments might cost her her job, told CBC: “When we did finally get to St Paul’s [Hospital], there were protesters blocking the driveway — they’ve got signs and they’re yelling. So it’s the first we knew about anything going on.”
She noted how the treatment of first responders has changed since the beginning of the pandemic.
“At first, people were just happy we were going to work. And now we’re being stopped from taking people into an emergency. It’s so hard. It’s so disheartening,” she said.
The protests on 1 September took place just over a week after it was announced that vaccination proof requirements were going to be put in place."...

I got this e-mail in Canada.
I guess the union is not as strong as the USPS Union which get an exemption from the vaccine just like 15k Illegals at the Texas Del Rio Checkpoint or any that President Biden catch and releases. Also I'm hearing that u.s. Congressional staff also get an exemption. How screwed up is that?

That's interesting, but terribly confusing.... That's for a few scholars to debate... what 95% of Americans think is what is important, to me anyway. And that is in the dictionary like so;
liberal

The things that separate the right and left the most IMO are
Abortion, and I believe in limits, the half way mark is as fair as it gets.... I believe that is pretty much what Roe vs Wade agreed to... most people on the left and right vary from this, but most of the left and right are OK with that.
Immigration... I don't know a single Left wing, liberal, or Democrat, whatever you want to call us that wants open boarders... most of us want a pathway to citizenship for the people that are already here and to increase high tech security on the boarder and increase manpower as well if needed... Most people don't know, but Obama deported more people than any other President in history.
Health care; I'd like to see healthcare for all somewhat like the way the VA is set up. Privatized healthcare is the craziest thing I have ever seen. IMO, it's immoral to get rich off people who are sick. How many people have health insurance companies healed, not one person throughout history has been healed by insurance. It's robbery in my opinion... when the government controls health care, it can be a hundred times more efficient and cost effective. It has been proven to work in many countries. Canada has it....
Gun control - the left does not want to take everybody's guns, we do want to get the machine guns off the streets, and perhaps require a gun training class and background checks etc....

PFC David Foster two years ago people were saying that Dennis Prager was BS. They didn't have an alternate explanation what he said. Now with his movie no safe spaces, it makes perfect sense! When you have the border patrol calling Broken Arrow, when you have sections of the wall just sitting there and the contractors have already been paid the money to put it together but President Biden doesn't want to put it together, that's when you call it a leftist presidency. You probably remember that back in 1996 President Clinton put National Guard soldiers On the Border under operation gatekeeper. President Clinton also believed in balancing budgets and lowering taxes to generate money something that President Biden doesn't understand when he says pay your fair share because even his tax rates combined with the tax rates of California New York and New Jersey make it higher than communist China. I have a business degree, JFK had a business degree, President Clinton had a business degree and so does President Trump. President Trump may have had some Financial screw-ups but he did agree with the basis of lowering taxes increases Revenue. Raising taxes lowers revenue and the left doesn't want to admit that! We obviously disagree on several things... Trump was crooked... he's only stupid in some situations, but when it comes to doing dirty business, he's quite the pro, and he's been proving it all his life. He doesn't care who he steps on along the way, and he will never understand the repercussions of setting the economy on fire and taking away all the restrictions that make it safe for the long run, or perhaps he did understand them and he just didn't care, either way, he was the worst President in history. We could argue the economy for months, it's an enormous subject.
The WALL should have never been built. It's a disgrace on the USA.... Mexicans are nimble, an average Mexican could climb over the wall with a homemade 20 foot ladder. One Mexican could also tunnel his way under it in a night, think of how fast 50 of them could do it.... not to mention they have tunneling machines that could dig a tunnel big enough to drive a truck under the wall in a few hours. The smart Mexican would just buy a heliarc welding machine and cut out a doorway in the wall in about 10 minutes and walk through. It's also cruel and unusual punishment for the animals, it cuts off millions and millions of animals from the Rio Grand River, their water supply in the desert, but of course, the republicans don't even want to care for the people, they certainly don't give a damn about the animals.
I don't want to give up on you man, but I don't believe I am going to be able to convince you that the "right" way is just the wrong way to lead us forward. For me, the Ronald Reagan way of running the country is never going to work. It just drives a bigger and bigger gap between the rich and poor... We have to start taxing these big estates or it will just keep getting worse and worse until the top blows off. Is it fair, no, but it's the only humane way forwards. We are going to have trillion airs in America soon. Why the hell would anyone ever need to inherit more than a billion dollars???
