CWO3 Dave Alcantara Lieutenant Colonel Scheller wasted inappropriate ammunition, his ‘fire’ was in the wrong place and the wrong time!

Admirable actions that do not bear fruit have consequences!

Yes, he did capture attention, to what avail? I do admire and also feel sorry for Lt Col Scheller.

He had the decency to plead guilty and be held accountable CWO3 Dave Alcantara, that’s more than I am able to say about other high ranking Military members

I'm glad the USMC gave him a fair trial. No mention of discharge, but we can likely rule out the next Command Selection Board. Maybe not. Fair winds and following seas for him. Command influence is akin to politics. Although present, it should not be. He accepted responsibility. That's something these days. Counterpoint - he second guessed Commanders on the ground. That bears a cost. The suits don't count, as it's to be expected, with rare exceptions.

His plea was conditioned on his immediate resignation. He lost his family and his retirement, too.
