Another example of just how poorly informed He is and doesn't even get the simple fact and electric vehicle is NOT Capable of even driving across most states let alone the country. The technology isn't there yet. That doesn't mean research and development shouldn't continue, it should and maybe some day it will be practical for actual distance car trips but it isn't yet and We don't know yet if it will ever be. Biden doesn't even have a grasp of the concept of how the electric car system works or it's limited range when it runs out of a charge Your NOT going anywhere until You get one which can take the better part of the day to get a complete charge and even if You can do that a trip may take weeks instead of days. Maybe that's a way of keeping people home and not making it possible to travel beyond their own neighborhood and having even more control over them ? Is Biden even capable of coherent thought ?

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter Biden is not "poorly informed," imo. It's more gaslighting of American citizens so the Authoritarian Admin can, yet again, hobble tax-paying Americans. This time it's limiting their opportunities and connectivity through auto travel and distances they can go.

Regarding the last sentence, he is, but only when the puppetmaster puts the words in his mouth! Otherwise, nope.

Maj Robert Thornton - True, He isn't even capable of thinking for Himself and even with coaching still screw it up ! He does of course have in the area of 5 decades of failure though taking up space in the Federal government so it's not all new. I didn't call it service as nothing He has ever done has helped this nation but hurt us and our allies.

If you use a Tesla supercharger, it is 480 volts and can give a 200 mile drive in about 15 minutes. However, the Tesla is lnot made to use a supercharger daily. Currently, IMHO, the most efficient vehicles are hybrids.

Totally agree if efficiency is the most critical factor for your transportation needs.

A1C Mike Allen this chart is the approximate times for 120v, 220v and supercharger
Level 1 AC (120V outlet at home): 20-40 hours
AC Level 2 (Third party chargers/Tesla chargers/Tesla home charger): 8-12 hours
Level 3 DCFC (Tesla Supercharger): 15-25 minutes
If you just plan local driving, no sweat. I would hate to have take a long trip in one.

Agreed. I had a Honda Civic Hybrid back in 2004. Didn't like Honda's system and sold it and got a Toyota Prius C hybrid in 2009. Had it for five years and got rear-ended in 2014. Replaced it with a full-size Prius in 2015 and still have it.

Actually we have the technology but not the infrastructure which is why building charging stations along highways is part of the BBB bills. Think of it as the availability of airports, or highways for that matter, in the early 1900s.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen: I liken it to the Eisenhower plan of interstate highways, which originally designed to get military necessities/troops, between bases quicker. The public reaped the benefit of interstates (although I must say the choice of restaurants generally sucks along the way) which lead to greater transportation of consumer goods, etc. Electric charging stations are a major part of the near future and are necessary. And the technology for the longer charging batteries is there, it's just not affordable at the price for the average consumer. Build the charging stations coast to coast and the batteries will begin to cost less.
