REF: Judge Julie Richardson wrote; “when do Constitutional rights vest? Our nation’s most cherished constitutional rights vest no later than 18. And the 2nd Amendment’s right to keep and bear arms is no different”.
Though many see it as a 'win' - I disagree with the number 18.
I've been actively using a bb gun since 5 years old, a hand lever-pump pellet rifle since age 7 and .22 rifle since age 10. I was responsibly using them because I was trained in gun safety by my father and uncles - who observed me every time I had one. I shot rabbits and squirrels when I was using the pellet rifle. Even my mother 'supervised' my hunting since she grew up hunting food for my grandparents table and was well versed in bows and firearms.
Its about training in weapon safety, adult supervision when you're learning/using the firearm.
It's not about 'AGE' as Alec Baldwin recently so horribly demonstrated.

I also disagree with "Anti-Gunners Keep Spreading Lies" and "Guns For My Bodyguards, But None For You!".
The former is like gossip - no one checks or was present at the incident but the story gets told anyway, growing more confusing on each telling. I once heard a story that was interesting until I realized it was about my brother - who was in another state when the 'incident' happened the day before in my home town.
The latter is flat out 'Royals" assumimg their entitlements, leaving us serfs with a different set of rules.

Your age progression with weapons was normal for kids when I was growing up. Personally, I neither know of nor know anyone of my age , who recall kids being a danger to themselves or others with our weapons. However, many quail and dove would have a different opinion.
