Keep your eyes on TRICARE for Life. There are many who would love to kill the program.

Of course, if it's good for the people politicians want to kill it!

Lt Col Charlie Brown I have private insurance through my employer and my part went up substantially this past year. I go to the VA and they bill my insurance so I rarely have to pay but I need the insurance for my wife to be covered.

We had so much trouble with TFL that I got private insurance through my second employer and stayed with them after I retired.

Lt Col Charlie Brown What kind of trouble? I've had nothing but great experiences.

Didn’t dig into this, but I don’t see anything about TRICARE FOR LIFE mentioned. That is my second payer and I use EXPRESSCRIPTS generics with no charge. Highest cost for my wife and I is MEDICARE $3600 per year.

True, Medicare is the big expense, I also have Tri care for Life which had no premium cost but Medicare sure does ! Having to have Medicare and having no choice about it added a cost I didn't have before for both Me and My Wife !
