One of these days we'll get around to doing something serious about Tort-Reform. in the meantime the lawyers filing these kind of claims will continue to look at it as free-flowing gravy-train and their firms coffers will continue to fill.

I don't think that manufacturers should be held responsible for crimes committed with their products. That includes alcohol. How is Anheuser Busch supposed to know that Joe Sixpack is going to drink that 12-pack, drive, and then injure an innocent party? How is Remington supposed to know that Joe Sixpack is going to buy that shotgun and use it to rob a convenience store and murder the innocent clerk?

I agree 100% with what You say, , people have to take responsibility for their own actions and also be held accountable. If the don't control their own actions then a penalty under law need to be administered against that individual. .
