MS is a very individual disease. For some it comes and goes like a tide...two of my friends have this sort of situation...some days they look fine while on others they have major challenges. And yet another one has a version that has him increasingly losing physical abilities.

Two of my cousins married men with MS. One could walk and the second who was diagnosed when stationed at Kaneohe Bay was wheelchair bound before he passed away.

My sister suffers from MS. You are absolutely right about day to day changes. It sucks!

This soldier certainly has a great attitude which has given her a brighter outlook on life that escapes so many others. Just as in aviation, your attitude will determine your altitude and she has that figured out.
The daughter of a friend has had MS for more than twenty years and while the treatments were only somewhat effective in the 90s, apparently they have improved to the extent that she can live a very normal life, enjoying whatever it is she chooses to do within the bounds of her considerable physical abilities. Still, there is no cure but things are much better today and that is a reason for hope.
Just as PFC Foster wrote, "...The cure may be just over the next sunrise"

'Struth. My dad's father had it and at age 61 committed suicide in 1932 rather than be a further burden on the family.
