103 Marines booted for refusing COVID vaccine as services begin discharges

One hundred three Marines have been discharged for refusing to take the COVID vaccine, the Marine Corps said Thursday, as the military services have begun to discharge a pool of possibly as many as 30,000 active duty service members who still refuse to be vaccinated -- even after multiple opportunities to do so past vaccination deadlines.

In late August, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered mandatory COVID vaccines for all U.S. military personnel.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel My guess is they wanted out of their contract and this was the easiest way out.

Cpl Vic Burk Then this is probably good for the armed forces in another way. It is an easy way to get rid of those who really didn't want to be there without lengthy action to process them out due to poor performance.

I bet some of them regret it in the future.

SSG Rafael R. Rodriguez Sr. - I bet there are other branches that will be disposing of those who refuse the vaccine; they just haven't publicly said so far.
