[~168853: PO1 William "Chip" Nagel It was through my friend that I have met around 4 dozen members of the Royal Lao Armed Forces and Special Guerilla Forces veterans. They were led by Major (Peter) Phoumy Phanmahavong. After helping American troops during the Vietnam war, he and his men were held as a prisoner of war. He successfully led them as they escaped through the jungles and lost only one man. Guerilla members still march in our Memorial Day and 4th of July parades. Peter is no longer physically with us but never leaves the hearts of those who knew him
