LIVE! Final Deployment Underway! - James Webb Tracker! #NASA #WEBB

This is a short update in the Deployment process of the James Web Space Telescope!
As I am monitoring the JWST live broadcast and it has been reported that both the left (Port) and right (Starboard) primary mirror segments have been successfully deployed and the deployment motor has been shutdown... Note that the Primary mirror is 6.5 meters in diameter (21.325 feet) as opposed to the Hubble's mirror diameter of 2.4 meters or 7.874 feet)!
This is a momentous positive occasion in the development, launch, and deployment of the JWST!!! It is now Fully Deployed as announced by NASA Goddard...
The JWST is, at this moment, 665,325 miles from Earth and 233,381miles to go to its Lagrange Point L2, which is the point at which there is a balance between the Earth's Gravity and the Gravity of our Sun... 74% of the distance to L2 has been accomplished... As I understand it from the live broadcast, the JWST is now powered by the Sun... If I am remiss on this, I will correct it later...

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - There is still a great deal of calibration and testing required, which will mostly be done as the JWST approaches, arrives at, and commences its L2 Lagrange point orbiting... This is nothing like a simple telescope as one might imagine... Each Hexagonal mirror segment will act as a separate mirror until the calibration is completed to focus each segment in a precise overlap so that the main mirror provides the correct data imaging... That is the simple explanation, but it is much more detailed and comprehensive, technically...
