European requirements make these possible. If they were as serious about climate change as they claim, the regulations requiring this would be changed

I know it is wasteful but there is nothing they can do about it. The plane still has to go from point A to point B. It has to be repositioned for the return flight. On non-stop transatlantic flights, that's all the plane does is go from Atlanta to Paris or Amsterdam to Chicago back and forth, 1 flight a day in many cases it's the same plane over and over for weeks or months. As soon as it lands, it gets restocked, refueled, cleaned, maintenance items get addressed and a crew is assigned for the return flight.

I love liberals, the government is the so.union bla bla bla, yet government regulations are what require ghost flights. I had some friends from Germany when I was in my teens during the 1960’s , they flew on a ghost flight. You would think during the intervening time some one would have figured this out. I guess it isn’t much different than Kerry or any other environmental big wig flying in their private jets.
