When no cover is available then becoming as small a target as possible is necessary for ones survival.

Exactly, it's why I think the "posers" who always say chest forward A frame shooting are idiots...Yes, armor facing foward, BUT it's also a BIGGER target. Weaver/Side stance, while wearing side plating is LESS surface target area exposed....Think small, be small, shoot small, hit it every time...

LMAO...I always thought the shooting over one's knees in a sitting position to be a waste of time...I need to be behind something when I am not firing...

Seems a good idea to have a block of instruction in Basic Training on a few additional "positions that are used over and over during real conflict", as the article mentions.
