Joe -- and yet we still are not there yet. Three things are stopping us from really being where wee should be. !. Our authority system has to be changed to reflect not just what we have learned - but time. We lack any speed of maneuver at the tactical and operational level in a system that is not the focus itself in priority.
2. Unable to really do much all over at once for any length of time due to the divorce. That nonsense has to be ended and however it is done - Humpty Dumpty put back together yet again so the force, manpower, equipment, and monies are all focused.
3. We have to forge a single blade to strike with - and understand that it is but a single blade that does the most damage. PSYOP.CYBER/EW have to work as one on any action - and train to do that working together. It magnifies the effects 100 fold when a single blade instead of stovepipes...... My 2 cents

LTC Eric Udouj - I agree. You alluded to it. But, a huge frustration of mine in Bosnia and other places was the approval and authority prosses to execute IO/CYBER/EW. In many cases by the time we were authorized to create a product much less use it. It was watered down, lost much of it effectiveness, or downright useless/obsolete. Again I agree operating as one and streamlining the process would render non-lethal fires much more effective. Heck our media understands information is power and executes with lightning speed (Sometime too fast. But mistakes happen even in the Military's slow antiquated process). Maybe one day the Military will catch up.
