military style assault rifles are specificly designed for battle, having become popular due to video games and Islamophobia, after the Iraq invasion. They never should have been marketed to civilians, and certainly not civilians who can't even buy a beer in any state. Felons are denied the right to own or possess firearms for the rest of their lives, even if their crime wasn't violent. Firearms are regulated on every military installation. And the SCOTUS has stated that yes, 2nd Amendment rights can and SHOULD be regulated. A "regulated" militia is the military, including the national guard. neo-confederate mlitias are illegal in EVERY state. I'm not for banning pistols, but we need to have the conversation about sensible regulation.

SP5 Renee Reif -
_"ZERO states permit hunting with a weapon that is designed for war." Nonsense
-M1903 Springfield rifle accepted, type classified and officially adopted as the United States Service Rifle, Caliber .30, Model 1903 and entered production in 1903.
-M-1 Garand Rifle deliveries to the Army started September 1937 and the Army was fully equipped by the end of 1941.
-The 2nd Amendment is not and never was about hunting.

_"military style assault rifles are specifically designed for battle"
And what constitutes "specifically designed for battle?" There is no-universally accepted definition of what legally constitutes a "military style assault rifle."

_"A "regulated" militia is the military, including the national guard." Nonsense.
-Federal and state laws generally use the term “militia” to refer to all able-bodied residents between certain ages who may be called forth by the government to defend the United States or an individual state. See 10 U.S.C. § 246. When not called forth, they are sometimes referred to as the “unorganized militia.” A group of people who
consider themselves part of the able-bodied residents referred to as members of the militia under state or federal law is not legally permitted to activate itself for duty.
-Can you cite examples where the entire population of the U.S. not sering in the armed forces or national guard were universally disarmed? If this was the intent of the Constitutional convention, why were those who were not part of the "organized" militia disarmed?
