2.) After racist recordings surface, can N.J. mayor survive the scandal?
“NJ Advance Media last month published audio recordings made by a police whistleblower that captured the mayor and police leaders freely using racial slurs.
The news organization also revealed the details of a secret 2020 settlement that paid the whistleblower, former police Lt. Antonio Manata, and his attorney $400,000 to keep a lid on the scandal.”
““I think it would be a hard issue for the community,” Ellenport said. But he added that he’d heard a lot of unhappiness from residents both over Bonaccorso and police officials’ comments and the township’s efforts to cover them up.”

MILWAUKEE COUNTY PASSES ORDINANCE TO ADVANCE RACIAL EQUITY AND IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES
Milwaukee County leaders commit to eliminating institutional racism by addressing County polices, practices and power structures through a racial equity lens
Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele today with Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson, County Executive-elect David Crowley and Director, Nicole Brookshire with the Office on African American Affairs (OAAA) announced the signing of an ordinance that commits Milwaukee County to advancing racial equity and eliminating health disparities. The ordinance, unanimously passed by the County Board, moves forward Milwaukee County’s vision that by achieving racial equity, Milwaukee is the healthiest county in Wisconsin.
“For hundreds of years, government institutions have been connected to the atrocities against those with a historical lineage to slavery. Now because we know better, we must do better. Passing this ordinance is one way we can address the policies and practices that have contributed to racial inequities in our communities,” said County Executive Abele.

*** this a repost from myself, because people are tooooo comfortable with the status quo ***
“I will not apologize for telling the FACTS, in a world that worship the lies”.
Is it an INDICATOR or POTENTIAL racism? Sure. Absolutely. But is it proof of it? Not at all.
What are the demographics by income? How many people chose the neighborhood specifically because of demographic makeup? The single largest consideration for parents (in the aggregate) in choosing a home is school district. Crime is a close second. Demographics is almost never a significant part of the decision.
And nothing you just posted proves that racism is a public health crisis or that equity is a laudable goal.
This isn’t a debate nor argument between you and I, I’ve posted/replied with FACTS, again you’re feelings and opinions don’t change those.
You’ve not posted ANY FACTS about what Milwaukee citizens are saying about their home, it’s just your viewpoint.

1.) When did segregation end in Milwaukee?
The federal government was made aware of the situation in Milwaukee and ordered the city to desegregate the schools in 1976. There was a major difference in the minority populations of schools when comparing rural schools to city schools.

2.) What caused segregation in Milwaukee?
“White flight”, the decline of manufacturing, and gentrification further contributed to racial and ethnic segregation in Milwaukee. This paper will track the residential history of four distinct Milwaukee neighborhoods: The South Side, Bronzeville (on the North Side), Riverwest and the Third Ward (both downtown).”

Wisconsin communities see uptick in white supremacist activity
Incidents in Waukesha, West Allis, Wauwatosa and Milwaukee latest chapters in long history
BY: ISIAH HOLMES - APRIL 11, 2022 6:30 AM
“In late March, a banner reading “Resist Black Terror” was hung from the Waukesha Transit Center’s parking garage. Quotes from Adolph Hitler were allegedly featured on the banner calling for a new nation for “only white people(s) of good stock,” and promoting a website linked to a recognized white supremacist group. Exactly who was responsible remains unclear, as local media were asked to not publish the group’s website after the banner was taken down. The incident confronted local officials with what appears to be a growing undercurrent of white supremacist activity in the area, and this phenomenon is not unique to Waukesha.
The last two years has seen a resurgence of seemingly organized white supremacist activity in the areas surrounding Milwaukee. In Waukesha, such groups have ridden a wave of anger and mourning around the Christmas parade tragedy. Six people were killed and dozens more hospitalized after an SUV plowed through Waukesha’s annual Christmas parade.
Police quickly arrested the driver, 39-year-old Darrell Brooks of Milwaukee, for the act. Brooks, who is Black, had been released on a low bail before the parade tragedy, a point which many Republican legislators used to blast the city of Milwaukee, District Attorney John Chisholm, and criminal justice reform policies.”

We grow up with 1st hand experience of how REAL WORLD RACISM WORKS/WORKED …
We learn both in your face, passive aggressive, backhanded white racism, from the police, schools busing … yes even into 2022’, economic, social and political racism.
We know where the branch’s of the kkk are throughout Wisconsin and the neighboring mid-west states.
It’s not your life experience in Milwaukee, be grateful. Yet you and no one else will devalue mine or others personal experiences …
Because your & others opinions don’t matter, your validation or lack … of carry no weight outside of what you and others give it.
These dialogues with yourself and others are used to pass on FACTS, to inform and enlighten.
Some people are honestly completely oblivious to these things, others are just disingenuous.
That’s it’s, like yourself … others reply with opinion/feelings … some will completely deflect to “what about them?” “ANTIFA/Blm” “BlackOnBlackCriminals”.
To your credit, you’ve done none of the name drops.
