I had an AR-15 with a 50AE upper. Great pig gun within range. At the shooting line, people would gape from the sound and amount of gravel being thrown forward. Over time, the pig days have moved on and I prefer a Marlin 1895 in 45-70. BTW over time, the 450 or 50 loads are hard on the aluminum lowers. That's why mine was a stainless steel version that didn't care what you put on top.

I have a 450 Mossberg Patriot, And Have Used it on Hogs at 75 Yards And Last Year Took A Black Bear Over 400 Pounds at 112 Yards All 1 Shot Kills, I Also Have A Diamondback AR In 450 I Use In States Where Legal

You could almost clear a forest loaded with small tree using an M14.

I really liked my M14. It was of course my Basic Training M14. We had a very "special" relationship! 8-)

Both Are Great Calibers The 308 Will Reach Out Hundreds Of Yards, The 450 Will Put A Smack Down On ANYTHING Out To 200 Yards, I Have Rifles in Both Caliber’s ! Each Has It’s Own Use , If I Am Hunting Big Game and I Know Shots Could Be Long Range The 308 , Bears / Hogs / Elk And Moose At Short Range The 450 Will Drop Them In Their Tracks
