One member of My own family, My Mother's Aunt CPO Gladys Lillian Norris, USN (Ret) spent 30 years on active duty with the US Navy and served during WWII, Korea an Vietnam. When the WAVES formed in the US Navy during WWII She was one of the first group to join. She lived until age 95 and is buried next to My Mom who die two years ago at age 92 as is My Mom's brother who passed at age 82 a Sergeant in the US Army Who served during the Korean War. My Dad, a WWII, Korea Navy Veteran who is 96 now and doing fine will eventually come to rest there but hopefully not for many more years. My Dad's brother, who passed at age 90 a SFC (Ret) US Army served during Korea and the Cuban missile crisis is also buried in another section of the same cemetery. Shown Here is CPO Norris's grave marked (the rank shown is not correct, She was a CPO) and the other marker My Mom's brother Johnny.
