A little commentary and a link to the House Resolution text. Now that AP has said there's no such thing as an "Assault weapon" Is this Bill moot?

Wonder what will happen with this in the Senate? And will the court let it stand if it gets passed and signed?

Considering the intent to limit the right to bear arms is in the title, I do not see this passing SCOTUS. If it somehow gets through the Senate, I expect an IMMEDIATE challenge.

How the hell do you reconile "RTKBA is not unlimited" with "shall not be infringed?"

And that is totally aside from the wording, which basically bans any weapon with a threaded barrel. If you want to shoot ACCURATELY, you now own an "assault weapon."
