As a old school shooter, when the Glock first came out, no one in our police department early 80's, would dare buy, as said then, a plastic gun, nor a 9mm handgun for duty.
We all shot a S&W 38spl/357mag revolver, it took me a long time to buy a Glock and trust it. I think, I finally bought a Glock-17 in 2015 or 2017, and I liked it, one of my go to guns now a days, after some other guns, 1911, HK, SIG and most, a revolver. Just this morning hearing the dogs barking a 2am, I went out to check with a S&W 625 revolver.
My Glock has it's place with me now a days, it's very accurate, with the Wilson match barrel I put in it. I also have a G-19 Gen-5 MOS, but it seems a little small to me in my hands, it's just me, not the firearm. But I rather hold and feel my HK 509, a much better feel in my hands, and a good shooter.
One thing that I noticed at the range with my Glock-17, it shoots everything I feed it, not like some other firearm's. And, my Canik's too, shoot anything I feed it, some of my built or Mutherfied 1911's, will shoot lead heads.

MAJ Byron Oyler - I started riding a bike in 1969, I was the younger boy with all the other older guys riding. I didn't have a bike, but my 1st cousin and his friends did, and let me ride their bikes in the dirt.
The first bike I rode, was a Yamaha DT-250, but in 1968, my other 1st cousin was giving all the kids a ride on a BSA 650, 65MPH then, was real fast. Lol
I had some other bikes, before I got my 1st Harley, In 94, I got divorce, from my 2nd wife, and one day, I bought a used 99 Softtail for 15,000, with an evolution engine in it.
I always did my own mechanics, and painting, due to I could neve afford a new car. Lol So, I painted it black, then put a red pearl color on it, it came out purple. Lol
I put alot of chrome parts on it, and loved it, took my kids to school with it too.
Later, my 3rd wife bought me another used bike, a Deluxe Softtail, and in 2009, I shipped my bike to Phenix AZ with the Guam MC group. And, we all drove up to Sturgis SD, the best time in my life.
Back on Guam, my wife bought me a new CVO, but I had to sell my Deluxe first, and chip in the money I got from it.
Loved all the Harleys, but now, no more bikes, I have a truck and a Mustang.

By the way, I had two Hondas, a Shadow, and a CB750, I loved that CB750, but one day it had electrical ignition problems, and no one on Guam could fix it, I had to get rid of it. And, just keep driving my 1970 Chevy pick-up to work. I also had some Suzuki, and a Kawasaki Z-1000.

SGT James Murphy - Nice bike James, and Happy Birthday. Colors are good looking. Looks like it had leather saddle bags at one time, is that the chrome bracket?
The rear fender looks like a Harley Deuce, a friend had.

SGT James Murphy - NO, I think the Trooper has more meat on it, and more heavy duty.
To me, an old trooper frame is something like a S&W N-frame, heavy duty.
That old Taurus M82 of mine, is like a S&W K-frame, but not as heavy duty as a S&W M-19.

SGT James Murphy - Bragging rights is all we have now, I had some good handguns to brag about. Lol
I should have kept that Uzi and Mac-10, it'll have made me some money today. Lol
