The Go-Go's formed in 1978. This Female Rock/New Wave/ Punk band is from Los Angeles . Their first album came out in 1981. They sold over 7 million records worldwide. Their songs are still being purchased on streaming services.

I first saw them in 1980. They didn't come across as anything special then. A year later they were on top of the world. Just crazy.
My fave is Gina, the drummer. She released a great album in 1988 called House of Shock and a single Middle of Nowhere which is a great song.
