A stud and a diving bombing expert. I can't imagine having two sorties with direct hits and surviving!

Taken from the article;

When asked about his contributions to the U.S. victory at Midway, Kleiss remarked, “I’m anything but a hero. I don’t hate the Japanese at all. I was only doing what at the time was the proper thing to do.”

What an amazing example of a "Great Man". I admire his words, "I don't hate the Japanese at all. I was only doing what at the time was the proper thing to do." He wasn't holding a grudge, he was simply doing that which was necessary to bring about peace, and end the conflict. I also don't think the "front-line" Japanese airmen and Sailors were evil people either. They were following orders and doing what they were commanded to do. Those responsible for initiating the conflict, will be the ones held accountable. Defending our rights, freedoms, and people are always a good cause.
