I like watching in flight video, no matter the source. That failed landing gear landing means either that plane is needing replaced or will require major repairs. Both if which is a plus for Ukraine and a negative for Russia.

LTC Trent Klug to me, it was looked like looking at a short documentary on the History Channel. I didn't hear any pro-russia talking points

And when Democrats want to sabotage somebody who worked intimately with the corrupt Biden family, I mean all the Biden family and goes public, some dick head like Chuck Schumer calls former Navy lieutenant and nuclear power officer Tony Bobulinski a Russian asset!

Here's a guy who had voicemail recordings, three cell phones with text messages from the Biden family working with him in the Business Partnership and he had unequivocal proof that the Biden family worked all together and didn't hide any information among each other concerning the business dealings that happened on Air Force t w o while Vice President Biden was networking for his son or with his son and made money from his son. This is an evolving story that was censored on purpose.

You have former people in intelligence calling it Russian propaganda when it was true the whole time!

LTC Trent Klug it wasn't dickhead Chuck schumer, it was dickhead Adam Schiff that was calling Lieutenant Babulinski a Russian asset as a means to destroy his credibility.

Having grown up around the Air Force, I can tell you why they don't like the A-10. It's slow when compared to its Russian Counterpart. The A10 max's out at around 420 MPH, while the Russian SU25 top speed is around 590 MPH. Even back in the 80's when I joined and there were still 83000 Tanks in the Warsaw Pact, there were real questions about the survivability of the A10 and Attack Helicopters in an environment where we didn't have air superiority and the opposition controlled a lot of anti-aircraft capabilities.
Remember that the A10 made its name fighting an enemy that had limited anti aircraft capabilities and we dominated the sky.
I am not one of those that think the Tank is obsolete either, but I don't see another battle like 73 Easting happening either. The increased lethality of shoulder launched, aircraft and vehicle launched Anti Tank Missiles make it unlikely that a tank battle with a modern opponent would be that lopsided.

CAS in a counter insurgency roll and CAS on a High Intensity Battlefield with a modern Opponent need completely different approaches.

CPT Lawrence Cable this was an excellent article. I put it on three different military social media outlets on facebook. The five eyes group, the Civil Affairs page and Military planners. You kind of made me think I was a flashback on essays we had the right concerning different problems in the command general staff officer course. I remember I wrote a paper describing how the F-35 was put into production by president W Bush even before the prototypes were finished and the problems that resulted because of it with cost overruns and defects.

I'm going to take this article at post on Raleigh point. I'm going to say that you revealed this article to me. Thanks for this article!

LTC (Join to see) - Thank you. If you haven't read it already, Tom Clancy's biograph of Gen. Horner during the first Gulf War, 'Every Man a Tiger" goes pretty deep into the development of the Doctrine they talk about in the article. https://books.google.com/books?id=-LRtAAAAMAAJ

LTC (Join to see) - It's well worth the read. You will come out knowing more about the application of air power than you probably ever wanted to know.

I suspect that a lot of the Army love for the A10 is that you can actually see the damn thing firing up a target, verses a 500 lb JDAM from a F16 flying at 15,000 feet where you are damn lucky to ever see the Aircraft.

I didn't know that the A-10 Warthog can fly 2500 miles. So it has a very long dwell time. It can stay on station and repeatedly straight the enemy with 1200 rounds of 30 mm spent uranium bullets.. it can also have high explosive rounds as well. It could carry 8 tons of ordinance including Sidewinder missiles to defend itself, 5 00 and 1,000 lb bombs. They can carry anti-tank missiles. It is the modern version of the Douglas Skyraider. Sure, they call it the Thunderbolt 2 referring to the P-47 Thunderbolt from World War II. There is no replacement for it. The super Tucano light attack aircraft doesn't carry the weapon payload of even the P-47 Thunderbolt. I like how John McCain totally made an ass out of the Air Force General years ago. The whole point is they have limited resources thanks to our limited defense budget because everything is put into golf Delta climate change or give ways to people who don't need it.
