Eh. Don't care how others view us and mistakes of the past are not mine. I serve honorably and sleep well every night.

Not knowing and not understanding histroy is why we keep geti tiing ourt fingers burned. Trumps idiocy in Venezuela is an example, he helped the dictator and made the folks opposing Maduro in Latin America back off.
We have done too much evil there be considered the good guys and their history remembers those crimes even if ours studiously forgets them.

Sir that the problem with those that self loath themselves and want us all to self hate in some bizarre form of penance. This Nation is far from perfect and we have made some real humdingers in the past and some now. The difference is we try to learn from our mistakes and try not to make them again. I for one could give a rats ass how other nations see us considering they need to look deeply into their own pasts and present as well. The best indicator of the current mental illness is a fixation on our current President since 8 Nov. A portion of our population is stuck on stupid to quote LTG Russel Honore. Their self hate festers like a boil and there need to make everyone else feel like them is their tormenting stupidity.

Time will tell, after the recent lack of anything close to an actually foreign policy or accountability in this Nation he is still doing more than most.

Never met a Filipino that held that against us. Everyone that I have ever met, and I operated there for a substantial amount of time, had nothing but love for the US.

Considering how many of the Filipino people have chosen to immigrate to the US I would say that we were remembered there in a more positive light.

It depends on the context. iIn the context trump used calling people defending their homeland and homes terrorists not so favorable. Especially when he praises war crimes, even the imaginary ones he mentioned.
