"Ed.: The ruling applies to *licensed* carry, not constitutional carry. So if you are an 18-20yo in TX, apply for a carry license. Applying it to constitutional carry will require more work, in legal and/or legislative action."
I saw this news piece on different sources. None of the others mentioned the permit requirement. I like it. the younger folks will have to get training before they can carry.

The constitutional carry should be backed up with a licensed carry permit. Without it, some liberal policeman/woman may try to jack a person around.

I concur SSG William Jones but more for the reciprocity aspect. I will continue to renew my Weapons Carry License in GA mostly for the reciprocity with other states while traveling. On that note, it is the one carrying to understand the state laws in which they carry.

SGT James Murphy - Reciprocity on carry permits is not a Fed thing, unlike a drivers license, there are some states that you better not get caught carrying a gun in. I can travel great distances from my home, in most directions, carrying, and not worry about running afoul of LE, but not all directions.
